Have you searched the birth index for Edna's children?
Do you have any idea of their names?

Have you checked the electoral rolls for Edna Noonan and Greaves? There are people on this site offering free lookups of the current electoral rolls..old ones are available online.

I have electoral rolls 1992-2000
I found several Edna Noonan's.
1996 onwards..Venice Court, Samuel Ogden Street, Manchester
1992 onwards..17 Benton Close, Benton, Newcastle upon Tyne
1992 onwards 3 Stanely Green East, Slough

my computer is going too slow to cross check online..
message me if you know the childrens names.

Genevieve, yes you can send for the marriage cert online. It costs 7 pounds (no pound sign on this keyboard- how annoying!)
You will need all the details from the freebmd site as given above. Go to the GRO site ((just google it) and follow instructions. You will need a credit/debit card.

The reason i mentioned your other thread was because
I had a PM from a Mark who saw my reply on your thread saying he had Noonham and Lockyer in his tree ,I replied he should contact you ,did he??

You would need to confirm the names of John's parents to make these births significant, but if you do so here are possible siblings:

Births Jun 1912
Lockyer William M Sharp Tynemouth 10b 661
Births Mar 1915
Lockyer Margaret E Sharp Tynemouth 10b 670
Births Sep 1921
LOCKYER Mary A Sharp Tynemouth 10b 656
Births Jun 1923
Lockyer Lilian Sharp Tynemouth 10b 596

If you plan to try and find John's siblings and their descendants you w ill need more about him I think. You could get his marriage cert which will give his age, occupation and father's name. Then you can try looking for siblings, as you mentioned above.

Name: Agnes E Bell
Spouse Surname: Lockyer
Date of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec 1934
Registration district: Tynemouth
Registration county (inferred): Northumberland
Volume Number: 10b
Page Number: 566

John H Lockyer Bell Oct-Nov-Dec 1934 Tynemouth Northumberland

Hang on though! I see where the Sharpe idea comes from:

Births Dec 1913 (>99%)
LOCKYER JOHN H SHARP Tynemouth 10b 617
