I have just received the birth certificate of my great grandmother Emily Liddell. I have her parents names, she appears on the census as 1 month old.
On that census, her mother is called Margaret, so I assumed that was her name.
The family were from Stockton, County Durham.

On Emily's birth certificate, her mothers names is shown as Mary Elizabeth Ann Welsh..

I cant seem to find a marriage for a Liddell to a Welsh or a birth for a Mary Elizabeth Ann Welsh.

I am pretty sure they are the same people, there was only one Emily Liddell who was born in 1901 in Stockton, County Durham.

What can I do to find out who her mothers family were?

Thanks
Mandy
