I have managed to trace my grandfathers tree back to 1749. Can you help me go back further. Samuel Legg born 1749 in Yarmouth, Isle of Wight and died 1829 in same place. He married Mary who was born in 1755 and died in 1832 iin Carisbrooke, think they had one child George born 1777 also in Yarmouth Isle of Wight.

Cannot help with Samuel Legg, sorry.
However do you have any Daw's in your tree ?
I have John Daw married to Amy Legg in Shorwell IOW in 1761.
John was living in Yarmouth at the time of the marriage, possibly born there in 1736.
