Member Since: February 2004 Posts: 1 Send Message	My maiden name was Laban. My father was Peter Laban who died in 1983. We lived in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. I now live in Chesterfield. The only other Laban's I know of is my Grandfather's brother, who is still alive, Colin Laban (he has a son called Brian). I do believe that the name Laban originated in Derbyshire but would love to find out more.
