Hi, I have a few Kings in my family tree. Doe's anyone recognise these names? ALFRED GEORGE KING (my Grandfather) 28.07.1908, county of Birmingham, sub district of Deritend. He was a leading seaman - J111194 in the Royal Navy. He died at sea in ww2. Alfred's father, MAURICE KING (my great Grandfather) was a french Polisher / cabinet maker and married ALICE WOODCOCK. Alfred went on to marry - Elizabeth Jane Gardner (Nanna) in Portsmouth 1933. The marriage bore two children - MAURICE BARRY KING 1934c (who immigrated to Australia) and GERALDINE ANNE KING 1941 (Mum) After Alfred's death, both Elizabeth and Geraldine became sponsored immigrants in 1952c, and arrived in Australia on the "New Australia". Any information would be helpful, Thanks Julie - Geraldine's daughter! |
