I'm trying to peice together the Kershaw family who moved from Wakefield to Sheffield in 1811 ish. Robert, a stonemason and Jane had a large family (many survived), including Mary (m. Henry Booth), John, Frederick, George, Jane, Rebecca, Robert, Henry, Sarah and Joseph. I'm decended from Henry via his son James, his son Jim, his daughter Kate and her daughter Elizabeth. They lived in the Walkley Netherthorpe area until early 1900s then moved to Heeley area. My great uncle moved back to Wakefield after the WW1 (Willis who married Grace and had three children, James ? and Marjorie). I'd love to hear from you. |
