Add Info (2/11/6): Visit to Memorial It's worth knowing that Portsmouth is the most populated city in Europe, so you need all the help you can get to locate cemetery. We didn't see any signs for Kingston, but there are signs for next door Fratton as you enter Portsmouth. The cheap 'AA Street by Street Portsmouth' ISBN 0-7495-4316-7 at £4.99 is helpful as the colouring picks out buildings, roads and green cemeteries. Buying one isn't too easy as we couldn't see a garage on the way into Portsmouth Unfortunately, this was one of the wettest days of the year, so no chance of our own photos of the memorial (which we estimate to be about 30m from the gate on St. Mary's Road). The ivy had been cut back to ground level by someone, but fresh growth had started to climb its way upwards. This was eased off . Note that a small room within the Chapel is open to view the Remembrance Book (opened at the day), but the rest of the Chapel is not left open Unusually toilets are available at this Cemetery Hopefully when we visit Portsmouth again it will be sunnier and we'll come armed with a pair of secateurs. (Please remember that the sap of ivy is a skin irritant).
