Member Since: February 2004 Posts: 1 Send Message	The origins of the name Jowsey apparently date back to Norman times, being a derivative of a French Saints name. The name prolifferates in the North East and along the North Yorkshire coast, particularly the Whitby / Runswick Bay area.
