The only birth for Rachel Redfern 1857/59, anywhere in the country was this one:-

Births Mar 1857 (>99%)
Redfurn Rachel Ann Bury 8c 346
and in 1861 she is with her parents in Bury, so it's not your Rachel.

This makes me think that maybe she wasn't registered as Rachel and that this could be maybe a second name.

I did a search on ancestry for --- Redfern, born 1858 +/- 1yr. in Ecclesfield.
Rachel shows in 1861 with her Grandparents but in 1871 the nearest is this one:-

Going back to births, I did a search for ---- Redfern born 1857-1859 in Wortley, which was the reg. dist. for Ecclesfield and there is a birth for an Alice Redfern:-

although the birth was registered as Alice it could be that she was christened as Alice Rachel.

If this is her then the birth cert. should give you her parents names.

I checked 1861 census and can't find an Alice Redfern born correct time and place, so I'm thinking that this could very well be your Rachel.
