Can you help? I'm looking for my paternal grandfather, who may or may not know I or my father exist. (His name is not on a birth certificate). My father's name is John Jones, his mother was Joan Pittam, who would have been born in the 1920s. Her parents lived in Littlebury, Essex. Joan had a total of 5 children; John, Chris, Veronica, David and Glenda. Joan died a few years ago, estranged from most of her children as she gave them to children's homes. Joan may have been in the London or Loughton area in th late 1940s, as my father was left at Liverpool street station as a small child. Does this ring any bells with anyone? I realise my grandfather may not be alive, but meeting anyone from my father's family would be wonderful for us. Thanks. |
