Hi Please could anyone help me in find my great grandmother; Catherine Ann Jones. I know that she was born in Llanddewi Brefi, according to the 1901 Census of 9 Consort Street, Mountain Ash, Mid-Glamorgan. I also know that she was born about 1866 and her fathers name was David Jones which worked as a Labourer by her marriage certificate to Thomas Bond in 1891 In Llanwonno, Mid-Glamorgan. I do not think she was registered at birth because I have tried to get a certificate and there is no record of her. I have tried looking at the record office's in Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire even I tried Pembroke but they have not got any record of her but they did not look in the Baptism record because they did not have a copy of the town or something, I cannot quite remember as it was about a year ago. Her mothers maiden name could be Rees because one of my cousin said that both her grandparents where called Catherine and they both were from Llanddewi Brefi. She also said that they where cousins and they both moved down to Mountain Ash because of the Mines. I do not know if it is true but I do not see any reason why she would lie. I do cannot tell you if the cousin was on her fathers said or mothers side. Please any information will be great Thank you very much Craig Rowberry
