Does anyone else out there know anything about my Dad? This is everything I know about his background; Born illegitimately on 5th April 1916, in Southampton, Hants, FRANK LEVI JONES took his maternal family's surname. (His father wouldn't acknowledge him.) His mother died in a house-fire when he was four, so he was brought up by his grandparents. He went to sea as a cabin-boy aboard a liner at age 14. My Mum was his second wife, his first marriage having ended after WW2, and I believe the last time he had any contact with his maternal family was in the mid 1950s.
