JARVIS/MITCHELL Trying to find any information re my husband`s mother, her name was BLANCHE EILEEN MITCHELL, she married ARTHUR JARVIS 1913, marriage certificate claims her father was John Mitchell a Sgt major in the Cameron Highlanders, can find no trace of her birth in England or Scotland, she was born abt.1892? She and Arthur were divorced in 1920, they had a son Royston Jarvis b.1916, Arthur had until 1919 been in R.N. He died in 1921 due to a gassing accident at West Rd Southend on Sea. Eileen had another son b.1918 named Gordon Stringer, Arthur was not the father. Can anyone help with her birth, begin to think she gave false name? on Gordon`s birth cert she gave her name as Blanche Fraser! |
