My g.g.grandmother Alice Hutchinson was born according to the census at Keld near Muker, yorkshire, in 1827, although 1 census has her born 1831. I have been unable to trace her parentage and actual birth for 2 years although I have since found her marriage cert to my g.g.grandfather John Jolly b 1818 Counden. The marriage cert lists her father as Michael Hutchinson and that they were married in Hamsterley co Durham. This was in 1848 and her father is listed as working in the mines. I have not found a Michael in any census that would be old enough to be her father. Nor can I find Alice in the census prior to 1851. Is there anyone out there who may be looking for the same Hutchinson?
