Hi there, i am trying to trace my late fathers family, he was Horace Howe 1937 and the youngest of approx 9 children believed to be william,winnie,phyllis,dorothy,arthur,ronald,kathleen,gladys.My grandparents were William Howe and Mary Elizabeth Whitehead and believed to be from basford then moved to ilkeston.

Enlisted 25/03/1915 age 25 years & 11 months.

2 children born 1911 but different dates!

Basford, in Nottinghamshire, and a suberb of Nottingham is the registration office for this area, so they didn't necessarily live there.

Jane needs someone who can read better than me because it looks very much like William had a child born 04/02/1911 & another 06/03/1911!

Jane, Basford and Ilkeston are registration districts, Ilkeston being the sub district for Basford. So, your rellys might not necessarily have move from Basford to Ilkeston.
