My Grandad, Maurice Hoon, was born in Staffordshire (possibly Burslem/Stoke on Trent area) approx 1923 and died in 1990. He had several brother and sisters. I am trying to find out more details of how big the family was, who everyone was/is and where they are.

The main clusters of Hoons are in:
Staffordshire, Derbyshire, London, Cornwall.
Hoon, sometimes spelt Hoone, go back to at least 1600's in Derbyshire.
Hope this helps,

Steve Hoon
