Member Since: April 2007 Posts: 6 Send Message	My GGGrandfather was born in about 1813 in Bristol. This is according to 1851 Census. His name was John Hill and he married a Jane Thomas in London in 1835. They had a son, John and a daughter, Elizabeth. By 1858 they were all living in New Zealand. I'm trying to find information about the Bristol Hills. There seems to be reason to believe that the Hills were military men. In the 1700's they may have changed their name from Berg/Burg/Burge to Hill. I would love to hear from anybody about any of this history. Regards Jenny
