Did anyone have an ancestor called Mary Hill who was born in Birkenshaw in 1860. Father's name George Hill and mother's name Isabella Hill formerly Armitage. Georg was a shoemaler. If these details ring a bell I have Mary's birth certificate which I would like sell for £8.50. My grandmother came from Dewsbury, her name was Hilda Berry. Her mother was Mary Ann Berry nee Hill. Because she lived in Dewsbury and I could find no record of any other Mary Hill having been born in Almondbury, which was where she was born, I sent for the certificate in case it was the right one but found out it wasn't. |
