please help me find my grandads parents.my grandad was albert edward hicklin he ws born on the 4th or 6th november in 1911 his parents were living in moss side in manchester at that time i know his parents names were jim hicklin and annie i dont know his mums maiden name .this a hard challenge to find anything about them i cant even find the family in any cencus its as if they dont exsist,i know when albert was about 1 his family moved to langley mill in derbyshire.the reason family cant tell me more is because when albert met my gran he got her pregnant before marriage so the family disowned them.please help me find them,i go in to hospital shortly for a major op and would love to have answers before then so it doest drive me batty thanks jane

im not sure all i no from my aunt is that the family have links with derby and mancester and after you gave me the first lot of info on the cencus i looked at some old news paper death notices that my aunt had ,and on that ther was hunts named as people at the funerals so annies name could have been ann hunt so i think you may be on the right track and its great as i couldt find any leeds.thanks jane
