i really need to try and find my father in law. He has just put a letter through my door telling us that he has aggresive prostrate cancer and is very unwell. He has not spoken to us in 3 years and now we do not know where he lives. So telling us has got us all upset and worried but we dont know where he is. He has a great daughter he knows nothing about and has not seen. So could someone please help me. PM me and I will give his name etc

Hello,

I dont know anyone with prostrate cancer but if you are desprate to find your father in law, maybe you could put search through the local paper asking him to contact you. You may have already done this but I know someone who did this in the past and it worked for them.

people have checked the electrol roll for me but with no luck. So I just have to hope he makes contact with us again or by some miracle I find where he is and soon. Thank you Melanie and Victoria.

was the letter sent in the post ? if so look at the post mark ,then at least you will have some idea were it came from this will narrow down your search a bit .let me know how you get on

was he walking when he put the letter thru the door - that suggests he's close by - even if he came in a car, perhaps he didnt come very far.

Do you live in a huge town - is he likely to have moved far from when you last knew?

Ask at his old address - maybe they know.

Pm me his name and where he is likely to be or last known address

dorsetbaby, to carry on from scarlett ribbons you could ask the people at the last address who they bought the house through and then try at the estate agents they may have his forward address on file.

I know he is on the 192.com on the electrol roll for 2007 with his wife. Has anyone got a spare credit please. I would be happy to do as many look ups for findmypast in return.
