I'm trying to find information on James Heather born c1855 in Winchfield Hants. I know he married an Alice (surname as yet unknown) who was born c1857 in Addlestone Surrey. Their children include James, Edith, Rose and among others Annie (my Great Grandmother).
Any information regarding Alice's maiden name and both parentage would be much appreciated.

Although all the census that James Heather appear in give his estimated birth year as either 1853 (1911 census) and 1855 (1901 census) I have not been able to confirm his birth year using the birth index on GenesR or the free BMD site. Is it possible his name was not registered as James? All census he appears on give his birth place as Hampshire.
Any ideas?
