Trying To Find info on John Healey

John

John Report 30 Mar 2008 20:41

I have drawn a blank. My grandfather, John Healey married Josephener? Newton on 03/08/1918. It is said he came from Ireland. And his fathers name was Patrick. She was born 1899 in Dunston, Whickham Durham and died in 1929. He was a miner living in Catchgate Annfield Plain, Durham at time of marriage. I can't go back nor forwards regarding John, before the marriage nor after her death.
My father Patrick (Patsy) Healey was born 1920 at 19 Red Row, Stanley. I believe he was raised by a mining family who took him in about 12 around Coniston nr. Doncaster. Member of the family was Billy who I believe went blind in later life, who was about 12 in 1930. My Dad went to school in the area and became a miner himself. He left after being threatened with prison for organising a strike.
Any glimmer of information would be gratefully received.
