ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

I have spent some time trying to find my grandfather who was in the Canadian Royal Artillery in WW2. I believe he was from Montreal, and was born about 1920. His full name was William Bryan Hazel. Is there anyone who may be able to find something on him, or his family? He married my Nan in 1942 in Wainford, uk.He went back to Canada after the war without my Nan.

He was with the Royal Candian Artillery. Sergeant D8105
Trade was a Railway company boiler maker

Thanks

Mark

I'd be happy to know his birth, death and if he remarried.

Searching on Ancestry for William Hazel b 1918 gets this guy:

Exact Search Results - Quebec Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967
Name Event Event Year Place of Worship or Institution Religion View Images
William John Hazel event event year info religion

He's the only hit in 1918+/-10.
I don't have the right sub to see more details.

The Angus works was a huge loco building yard in the east end of Montreal. I think they made tanks in WW2.

Canadian BMD registration is exactly like UK BMD registration.
I.e., there's no nationwide system - each UK country (province/territory in Canada) sets it's own rules.
