Hi,

Can't help but could I suggest that you edit your title to include the word 'Canada' so as to attract those in this area when they come on-line?

Hello, I'm in Canada, but have never looked anything up here, Brampton was called Peel I think in those days or was in the Peel region. So there is Wm. Hamilton mentioned in the 1852 census he was a Presbyterian and 21 yrs old.

I'll try more

Have tried to find William and Mary, the census is not like the British ones, or maybe I am just looking in the wrong place! Brampton did and does come under Peel, but I can find no trace of these two. I'll try again tomorrow eve. Hope someone else helps.

Hi, Thanks for all your hard work.. William was definaly a wagon maker, so would it be possible that he went from a farmer to a wagon maker and also is it possible to see what the relationship between Catherine and My William in the 1851 Census.
The other question I have would be Do anyone know if its possible to find out about ships that would have brought Williams parents to Canada..

I am so thankful for everyones hard work Mark

I think we have a mix-up because there are just too many William Hamiltons in Ontario.
That can't be him in the 1861 census that I posted, he's still single. If this is him in 1871 he should have been married in 1861.
