Hello, I'm in Canada, but have never looked anything up here, Brampton was called Peel I think in those days or was in the Peel region. So there is Wm. Hamilton mentioned in the 1852 census he was a Presbyterian and 21 yrs old. |

Have tried to find William and Mary, the census is not like the British ones, or maybe I am just looking in the wrong place! Brampton did and does come under Peel, but I can find no trace of these two. I'll try again tomorrow eve. Hope someone else helps. |

This is William Hamilton Wagon Maker. It's 1891 but he's difficult to pinpoint in the early census records |

This is a possible for 1851. His mother Jane a widow was born in Ireland . There is also a Catherine Hamilton 8 years old born in Ireland. William and Brother John were born in Canada. They are both classed as farmers. |

Hi, Thanks for all your hard work.. William was definaly a wagon maker, so would it be possible that he went from a farmer to a wagon maker and also is it possible to see what the relationship between Catherine and My William in the 1851 Census. |

There's this one in 1861. He seems to be living with his brother's family: |

I think we have a mix-up because there are just too many William Hamiltons in Ontario. |
