I am trying to trace any ancesters of Hallatt's born in Bradford and Sheffield areas. I have traced back to a William Hallatt born in Idol, Bradford who married Charlotte Allinson, their children were: Lucy Ellen, George William, Frederick, Susannah, Hannah, Arthur, Henry and Ada (twins), Eliza, Luther and Beatrice - all born Ecclesall Bierlow area of Sheffield. I belive William's father was George Hallatt, but could be wrong, he was a boatman and later family stories say a Hair dresser and Umberella maker, a lot of his children followed in his footsteps to become hairdressers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Although this is not the centre of my search, my husband is a Hallatt but we have very little family information and only go back as far as grandparents in the Mexborough/Doncaster areas of South Yorkshire, not too far from Sheffield. Any help to you?
