Untraceable surname

I am trying to find details regarding Mary Frances Haesey, who married my great-grandfather Alexander Nightingale in Salford on March 27 1880, for which I have a copy of the Certificate.

I am led to believe that she may have been born in Camden Town on Dec 25 1854. Her father was called William Haesey and is described as a 'gentleman's manservant'.

The name Haesey is almost untraceable - there is a family of about 7 in the States and an Italian actor (these are to be found on Google). Otherwise, nothing.

I have tried all the combinations of spelling I can think of but nowhere have I found anyone with these two Christian names from that era.

Any suggestions very gratefully received.

Peter Nightingale

Lew,
Thanks very much indeed - and also for the HALSEY - which is one I hadn't tried for.
You're a star - I'm not very good at the internet searching yet.

Pete

if you look at the 1871 census for Mary F HAREY in the civil parish of Harwood,Lancs I think it is your Mary Frances. The writing is atrocious ...she is 18 and a boarder, it says she was born Cromdale New,Middlesex but I think it looks like Camden Town and there surname looks like HASEY not HAREY

I've sent a pm to you.

Sue
