I wouldn't take too much notice of where people Think someone was born. They usually mean where someone was brought up, but that isn't necessarily where they were born.

The marriage certificate would give you her father's name which would confirm whether or not the family in the 1871 census was the right one or not.

I've looked on this site myself and can only find a Elizabeth Jane Tannatt but
my mother has always stated that she came from either Selatyn or the Llanyblodwell Oswestry area.

The birth in 1866 above is the only one for this name around that time.

Hi all

The Elizabeth Tannatt who is my Gt Grandmother married Charles Roberts
in the June quarter of 1884 Registration of Oswestry, Ref 6a/127.
Born I believe around 1864.



Sorry to be a pain, I only belong to just this one site as a Gold Member I would have joined other sites to obtain more complex information if I hadn't just been made redundant. Have to watch the pennies until I manage to become employed again. I really appreciate all those out there who have given me a hand with this.

Looking for the maiden name of mother of Elizabeth Tannatt born 1866 and who was married to Charles Roberts of Llanyblodwell.

I know the name Elizabeth Tannatt has come up before but that was about my Great Grandfather, a different question. If I am wrong about this, let me know and I will put it on a previous thread.
