Looking for information on family of Edith Annie Green and Arthur Robert Thatcher and their descendants. Edith Annie born 1875 Dovercourt, HARWICH, Essex and Arthur Robert, a Customs Officer born 1872 New Brompton, GILLINGHAM, Kent were my paternal grandparents. Edith married Arthur Thatcher 1898 in Dovercourt and had 6 children :- Winnifred Thatcher (c1900 SOUTHAMPTON) married MacDonald, Edith Constance Thatcher (c1901 East Ham, LONDON) married Hogben, Arthur Edgar Thatcher (1904 UPTON PARK, East Ham) married, Frank Ernest Thatcher (1913 DOVERCOURT) married Greenwood. Two more sons born between 1902 and 1912 were married: in mid-1960s Frederick Thatcher (Gus, scientist) lived in MERRICKVILLE (near OTTAWA), Ontario, Canada; William Thatcher (Billy or Biff, bank manager) lived in DORKING, Surrey. Frank Ernest Thatcher (b.1913 Dovercourt d.1985) was my father. |
