I have been unsuccessful in trying to locate my g/fathers birth certificate. He was born circa sept 1874 +/- 2 years. His parents were george arthur green and louisa green nee Dunn. I have located his older and younger siblings' birth dates.I have found them on 1881 1891 and1901 census returns. He died may 1944 in edmonton north london. thanks michael

And where was he born? Its such a common name, Im not sure how you will decide which one is him without buying the cert.

Michael do you have an idea of the district he was born in?
There are quite a few Charles Henry Greens on freebmd registered between the dates you mentioned.

Well, this one is born Chelsea - you could buy it from GRO specifying mum and dads names?
