Hi, My grandparents on my mum's side are Neil Lafferty & Isabella Bishop Bennie Lafferty. Neil's parents are Edward Lafferty & Jane/Jean Grant. Jean was born 1879 in Stirling. She married Edward in Mar. 29, 1901. Jean's parents were Neil Grant & Margaret Martin. Jean's brothers & sisters were Christina Buchanan Grant b 1867, Agnes Marshall Grant b 1870, Neil Grant Jr. b 1872, William Martin Grant b 1874, James Grant b1877, John Grant b1883 & Duncan Grant b1888. Jean's grandparents were Neil Grant & Christina Buchanan. Unfortuanately we're not able to go any further with this Neil Grant. We know he was dead when his son Neil married Margaret Martin in 1867 because it lists Christina as now being Christina Alston Buchanan now Christina Neilson, & we have her death certificate for when she died in 1875 @59 years & is listed as Cristina Neilson. If any one has any info re either the Grant or Buchanan side it would be great. Thank you, Mel |
