Trying to find Gillespie

My name is Robert Gillespie and i am searching for my half brothers and sisters, I was adopted only weeks after my birth. I was born in glasgow 4th july 1964 adopted some weeks later and named Alan Hamill..My biological mothers name is/was Mary Mulholland Gillespie (reid)DOB 13/5/31, she was married to Thomas reid from 1948 - 1971. I have somewhat limited information but i do know i have 3 half sisters and 1 half brother. As far as i know everyone is connected/born in Glasgow. My half sisters names and DOB - Patricia Archer ( married name Mcbride) (30/6/54) and Sheila Jamieson archer ( 15/10/55)- married name COOK, Their father was Patrick J Archer, and step mother was Agnes oates. My other half/full** sister to a different father - Thomas Reid - is Margaret Reid - 1953-?? (** I think we have the same father)?? As i said my information is limited and i would be delighted to hear from anyone who might recognise anyone listed above, or anyone who can point me in the right direction my email addy is [email protected], Thanks and please do not be afraid to contact me, i have known about my adoption since i was 16, and its taken until now (43) to have the courage to search for you so please contact me, thanks.

hello robert we only found this last week and we have been trying to find a way to get in touch with you,im your sister im patricia and sheila lives near me to,i am writting this from my son thomas email address. i know its been 5yrs since you posted this msg and i hope one day you will look for us again we would so love to meet you please get in touch with us love your sister trish

Hi Patricia, please remove your e-mail address otherwise your post may be deleted - it's against GR rules. Robert only made 1 post, so unlikely to be an active member.

As it's 5 years since Robert posted, click on his name and send a private message and if he still has the same e-mail address he will receive a message from GR to alert him to your message. Or try the e-mail address he has posted.

Not sure of Scotland's records, but in England there is the adoption contact register and if he was looking for birth family may have registered on such a site. It may be worth you looking for a similar site in Scotland.

Hope you manage to find him, good luck in your search.
