Find Ancestors

Can anyone help me? I cannot find my grandfather. My father's name was Richard William George and was married to Ada Rose Cook. But I cannot find any details of my dad's dad. I think his name was also Richard, but not sure - he was married to Anne Vaughan. Nobody in my family can help me and I have come to a full stop!
I would be most grateful for any advice or help.

If you do not have your parent's marriage certificate I suggest you get it. It will show his father's name.

Sad to say, you can't pursue this hobby seriously without paying money.

Friends on here can probably come up with some excellent guesses, but that is all they are at the end of the day. Sometimes you have to run with best guesses cos there is no other evidence or there are several certificates you could buy and it all gets too expensive.

But until we get back to 1911, hard evidence is invaluable.

I would suggest getting your dad's birth certificate, here is the entry:

I feel such an idiot, but I just don't know. I always thought that my dad was born in Walthamstow as was his dad, but now I'm so muddled.
