Hi,

Trying to find the maiden name of a lady in my tree. She was married to William Harry Franks in June 1900. Her married name was Mary Jane Franks.

Any help would be appreciated.

They lived in Lewisham London. Mary Jane was born in Abingdon Berks/Oxon. William Harry was born in High Wycombe.

On the original it says William Harry Franks, but it def looks like Florence jane for the mother.

Ok, something weird here, This Florence's father William Harry is an Oak fencer in 1911....!

They are living at 18 Knowles Hill Cresent

Does the mother just like changing her name, or are we looking at more than one wife??

The 1901 census has def got the same wife, she just calls herself simply Jane.

The Lewisham marriage of 1900 looks good for jane Thams... i wonder if she liked being creative?
