Does anybody have any info on the Flynn's or O'Briens from Mitchelstown Co. Cork? William my Great Grandfather was a Bootmaker there and married Mary O'Brien. They had 3 children Patrick, William and Mary but only Mary the mother and William and Mary show on the 1901 census as living in Peabody Buildings London. I would love to know what became of my Gt Grandfather and his oldest son. My Grandfatehr was his second son William who when he came to England became a messenger at the Tower of London.

Dear John

Hello

Have you checked the Genes Reunited Search Trees for the names?

If you go to the Search Trees board and for each name:

1. Put in the surname
2. Year of birth
3. Allow 4/5 years either way
4. Leave the location blank

See what info is listed and then you can narrow down your search.

Also, on the GR Tips Board, there are several helpful posts about looking for ancestors from Ireland.

Best wishes
