Hi all fellow Fletchers, I am trying to trace my grandfathers roots ,without much luck yet! his name was Reginald Fletcher,born circa1880(guess)poss from Derbyshire He was in the army and sent to Ireland 1918,Limerick area met lena mc carthy,married her,they went to England where they had a son,john dennis Fletcher in 1922;born in Belper,Ripley,Derbyshire here the trace goes cold,Lena and reg seem to have split,with Lena returning to Ireland with her young son John a.k.a Jack jack is my father,he married my mother Mary Cox in1960 and he died in 1991 from motor neurone disease,he worked in mental hospitals as a male nurse in gloucester and finally for london transport. If anyone knows any info at all about the above,please contact me |
