I am researching my husbands family tree and have come to a mystery. After months of searching I have found his grandmothers birth certificate, who lists her father as Frank Monelle, and mother as Florence Llewellyn, formerly FILER. His grandmother was born in 1928 and we think she was adopted or bought up in children's homes. Does anybody know of a Florence Llewellyn, formermerly FILER living in Bristol (I have the address) in 1928? Born anytime from 1880 to 1910, presumably in Bristol? Any help much appreciated, thanks :) |

i too have a mystery my grandfather ernest filer was born i believe in the bristol area in1891/2on his marriage lines 1915. his father is listed as a private in the army?as the only john filer i can find with a son ernest would of been too old as he was 44 years old in the 1901 census.which would of made him 58 in 1915 too old to serve.as the filer name is uncommon you would think it would be easy to track them down wouldn't you.well good luck.i do know that graeme card is researching the family name filer .i believe he is also with genes reunited try asking him. |
