Trying to find Farnell

I'm searching for my great great grandfather Richard Thomas (White) FARNELL who was born around 1800 - birthplace not confirmed - probably Surrey. Richard Thomas FARNELL had at least one son (Charles FARNELL) who was baptised in 1824 in Surrey? Richard Thomas FARNELL had died by 1856 according to his son's marriage certificate. I have searched the death register in the BMD index with no sucess. Richard Thomas FARNELL's occupation was that of a 'broker'. I have not been able to find out if Charles Farnell had any siblings or if Richard Thomas Farnell had brothers and sisters. Can anybody help? I have searched for over 20 years (on and off) and have come to a dead end. Thank you. S. Robinson

hi Susanna i have just found this site not sure if there is a conection to my family off farnells my grandad was a Charles farnell and he had 4 wives there were 27 children some died in infancy there were also stepchildren in this 27 he was a journey man and cobbler i think he came from lewisham his family could have come from the surrey area as well he finally settled in billet hill ash kent the farnell family also had shops in lewisham i also think there are richards in my tree as well as a fair few charles going back can you let me know if any of this is any good or not regards adrienne

Have you tried to contact Susanna as this thread is dated 2005 and unlikely she will be checking it.
