It has been pointed out to me that who i thought may have been my GGGGG Grandfather George Emsley b1752 in Fewston maybe incorrect, and after going through a few things with this person it seems from then on back my tree maybe a little mixed up.
Unfortunately i do not think i am the only one with mixed up info, Georges father was another George i have as b1726 in Fewston and marrying a Martha ? most of my other GR contacts have have his father as being George b1721 in Denton Also they all seem to have a Joseph b1849 in Ilkley we do not think this is correct but it seems a lot of people have this info so i need to sort out the fact from fiction here.

My GGGG Grandfather was Jeremiah b1790 i have him as having a sister Mally b1780 d1792 on my tree, this is wrong Mally's father was a Joseph b1849/50 in Ilkley, Joseph had a brother George but i think he was b1848, George had a son b1768 who had a sister called Mally b1771, I think their father was a George b1716 in Langbar Ilkley but i can trace no further info on this George.

The 2 Georges i have married:

George b1748 m Betty Holdsworth 25/5/1768
George b1768 m Mercy Helroyd 117/6/1790

Can anyone out there clarify any of this info for me and more importantly provide me with more info on George Emsley b1716 in Langbar ilkley??? HELP!! Seems years of of research could have been wasted.

Incidentally my family are from the Clayton, Horton Areas of Bradford.
