I am trying to find out which of these 2 men married Elizabeth marsh Davey in Dec 1881 in Bridgend. David Lewis or william francis williams. This was her second marriage, her maiden name was Huckridge. Any help would be appreciated

I Just tried doing that for Marlene - do you have any idea how many David Lewis's and William Wiliams's there were in Bridgend in 1891? Not to mention Elizabeth Lewis's and Elizabeth williams! I didn't - but I do now, hence the question!!!

Just trying to narrow it down a bit for her.

From WIkipedia:

St George was originally outside the city boundary until about 1860. The area was once the end of the tram line from the city of Bristol, the terminus being in Beaconsfield Road.

Elizabeth was born St George, Glouc. I have the marriage to Moses Davey. I just need to find out which of the 2 other men was her second husband. Not so easy as it seems though. Thanks everyone for trying to solve this for me.

The youngest son on the census you found is Phillip Moses Davey 1875. Try looking for him in 1891 to see who he is living with

yes Merlynne, the 1881 census is her

The only Phillip Davey I can find is living in Chester with his sister.

Also tried a search for death of William WIlliams - there are lots between 1881 and 1891 in Bridgend.

Little Elizabeth was the first child born in Wales at Tynewydd, same as Phillip!!! All the others are born Somerset, but I think John was born in Gloucestershire.
