Can anyone with access to the 1911 census look for household details for Louisa Edge, born 1898 in the Chorlton area of Manchester? Thanking you in anticipation. |

Have you found her in 1901 for the names of her parents. |

Yes Glitter Baby, I have found her on 1901, parents names Alfred and Elizabeth.....but I believe Alfred may have died before 1911 so his name is unimportant. I believe Elizabeth remarried or was living with someone surnamed Foley - hence why I want the 1911 census. |

Chrisa, you are a star....but I didn't expect that?....living with grandparents??....I'm fairly positive Alfred (her dad) died, so where was her mother Elizabeth?.......you couldn't look and see if she's there could you?....in 1911 she's have been about 39 years old, and there does seem to be a connection with the surname Foley. |

Do you know the first name of the 'Foley' you suspect she was living with? |

Chrisa, I think (but don't know for sure), that Elizabeth married a Michael Foley in 1917 - some years after the census I know, but I believe she had a son (John H) around 1910 who took the surname Foley. |

I'm not thus far aware of any middle names Chrisa, but according to 1901 census, she was born Northwich, Cheshire - but I know from experience, you cant put too much reliance on that |

I've lloked now Chrisa, there is a birth in Northwich in 1872, and no middle name shown/indicated |

Chrisa, I really owe you, thank you very much indeed......so she claimed she was married to him a full six years before she actually was!.....and to think they say things like this didn't happen in 'the good old days' |
