Help please.I am sinking! I am trying to ascertain the correct marriage of William Eastmond born 1800 in Devon. I have him married to sarah Clatworthy in my tree but I have now found another Wm Eastmond born 1800 married to someone else. Were there 2 marriages or 2 Williams ? There's loads of Eastmonds in Devon and I think I have got in a bit of a pickle!!! Eastmond was my grandmothers maidenname and I have gone back beyond 1800 but I am not sure if I now have the right branch.
Is there any one out there who can guide me in the right direction?

My William I have coming from mariansleigh. I see theres loads of the family all around that part devon.

I've noticed 2 William Eastmonds on familysearch.com. One born 11/5/1800 Mariansleigh, Devon. Father John, Mother Sarah. The other born 13/07/1800 Mariansleigh. Father James, Mother Rosamond.

Can you give details of your William's children otr any other details. I often work best going backwards...Let me know and I'll have a look for you

I have William Eastmond b circa 1800 married to Sarah Clatworthy with son William, married to Elizabeth West.
From somewhere I have parents of William (1800) as James and Rosamund but looking at your note I have this wrong. Told you I was in a pickle!!!
Haven't done this for a while now as had a few family problems. Hope to be back on track in the New Year.

Dear Janet,

William Eastmond who married Sarah Clatworthy was my great great grandfather. William was a Butcher in Mariansleigh, Devon. He was a widower most of his life and died in 1885 as a result of an accident. His son William was my great grandfather and he married Elizabeth West.

I have received information which might take back this Eastmond line to the 17th Century.
