Sorry John Dyson was Born 1806 but where is the proplem.

remembering that ages in 1841 were rounded down to the nearest 5 so John could have been born a little earlier that 1806 these are possible but without the parish regs for a marriage ( which even then might not give father's name) difficult to tell which one

according to the IGI John married Betty in 1831 but no source give or Betty's full name but it might give a clue where to start.

You really need John & Betty's marriage details. They are probably held in Manchester (for the years needed they are not at Lancs Record Office). It might be worth asking if tey would do a look up for you. I would go for St James church Oldham and 1829 unless they are willing to do a longer look up for you.

Could you help find DEATH of John Garlick born1807.
Found him on 1871 census aged 64yrs a Pedlar.with wife Louisa and sonWalter.
On 1881 census she is a widow.
Have looked all through those ten years,cant find anything,unless I have missed it.
