any information please on Joseph and Annie Downes who lived and died in Alderley Edge, Cheshire during the 1930's and had two daughters,Kathleen and Aileen (my mother) and a son Ernest all of whom are now dead. My grandfather Joseph was superintendant of Police in Macclesfield. Cheshire. Hope someone can help as I have information on any of them. |

MY ANCESTORS ALL CAME FROM ALDERLEY AND PRESBURY AND MY GRANDFATHERS NAME WAS WILLIAM FRANCIS DOWNES AND HE WAS RTHE SON OF RICHARD WHO DIED 1910.I'M NEW TO THIS AND HAVE NOT DONE ANY RESEARCH YET BUT FEEL THERE MUST BE SOME CONNECTION HERE! GEOFF |
