	I have also done some looking for Martha and Elizabeth before they married Thomas It looks as though Elizabeth was a widow when they married ....... and I'm not sure whether father's names would have been on marriage certificates for mature couples! SO, Sarah ......... it looks as though getting Thomas and Martha's marriage certificate, and finding out his father's name is going to be your only recourse. sylvia

	it will be a very rare event if we do get snow for Christmas in Vancouver! is it turkey in the garden for you??? I nearly said "on the beach" then remembered how far you are from the ocean!
