Find Ancestors

I've been trying to trace back my fathers side of the family, I know that my Grandfather was Harry Thomas Divall but that's about all I have

I can find no information regarding his parents or possible siblings though. A lot of people have this Harry listed, incorrectly I believe, as being born 1919/1923 in Brighton area however using his marriage details I found out he was born in Dartford in 1897, married Joy Titchener (my paternal grandmother) in 1945 then died 1967. I understand he was also in the army, Royal West Kent Regiment, discharged in 1919??

I've searched everywhere I know of & have spent more money than I can afford on various genealogy websites and keep hitting a wall.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yep, same issue I'm havign. Sadly my Nanny Joy passed away in '89 and my father has no details on his father either.

I thought as he'd been in the army he'd have been a little easier to trace!

Ann, your info seems to tally nicely with the info I've been searching for, I did search for the variant henry a whole ago but it dodn't cross my mind since getting more details! I'll do some more digging with that info.
