D.M. Dent (female) West Hartlepool

D.M. Dent is named as the Informant on a death certificate for George Good, 24SEP1956 at Brierton Hospital. She is noted as his niece and both have the address of 34 Shrewsbury Street. My interest is that I believe this George Good may be my grandfather and so D.M. 's mother would presumably be George's sister (having married a "Mr. Dent").
George had an 'interesting' life and I have a lot of info on him from his birth (18SEP1881) in London through WW1 and until he 'disappeared in 1928.
His sisters were:
Katie Amelia b1887
Ethel Blanche b1889
Mabel Beatrice b1891
Florence Clara b1896
plus 7 brothers!

Hello Roy - have you looked on FreeBMD for any marriages between Dent and Good?

The niece could possibly be a child of George's wife's sister or brother. What was her name?
Of course Dent could be her married name too, confusing the issue.

Hello Roy - I've just noticed that you already have a thread on this:
http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.asp?wci=thread&tk=1248032

The same people help out on all the boards so you don't actually need to start a new one. Not only that, the info that's on your original thread may have assisted someone looking at this.

Thanks MarieCeleste. Much more info on the other thread.
Roy, why did you start a new one?

Replying to two questions raised...
1. His wife was my grandmother. I knew her and all the children she had with George Good extremely well. My grandmother did have a brother, William Leah. I am focussing on Ms. Dent to find her heritage and where it links back.
2. Following on from my last sentence above, I figured it was appropriate to open a thread under the DENT surname specifically for her, thinking the DENT family chain would be more like to look under DENT than GOOD.
Also, I have unsuccessfully looked for DENT-GOOD marriages as well as GOOD-DENT. Her maiden name is not on the info I have for any of George's brothers hence my thoughts about her being offspring of one of his sisters (one of whom died as a baby).
For those that haven't seen the thread under GOOD, George left home and deserted my grandmother in 1928 and was believed to have moved 'up north'.

Just a wild guess:

Marriages Sep 1932
Dent John Manning Hartlepool 10a 247
Manning Dorothy M Dent Hartlepool 10a 247

Are you local to the area? If so I would consider checking out the electoral register for that address.

Thanks, "brummiejan". The date of that marriage looks right 'generationally' With raw numbers she would have probably been say 25 when she married, so born around 1907. That would make her about 26 years younger than George, so about a generation, which is consistent with George being her "uncle".
George left my grandmother in 1928 but reportedly (good/Good sources!) took up with another woman of unknown name from Notting Hill. My grandmother searched for him (to support 6 children!) but I don't recall her or anyone saying they got divorced. So likely as not they didn't as that would presumably have needed her consent and thus alerted her to his whereabouts. So probably he never re-married.
Maybe DM Dent (nee Manning) was this other woman's daughter and referred to George as "Uncle".... It's a tangled web, and if I go back 3 more generations there's strong rumour of a name change from Ryan to Good (nice sense of humour here) when a direct ancestor (Patrick) is said to have been wanted in Ireland and 'escaped' to England.
It seems census/residence/household info is a way to go here. I am in Southern California but will look more now at the Manning and Dent families to try to tie in.
