I'm a little stuck at the minute.
I have got back to a George Davies in my tree who I found on the wedding certificate of his daughter Elizabeth Davies b. c1890 Newcastle, Staffordshire married a George Taplin on 13 Sept 1913 at Newcastle Registry Office, Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire
Her father George Davies from her marriage certificate and his wife I'm stuck at. I found somewhere amongst the 1901 censuses that her mother was possibly an Eliza with a child called Elizabeth matching the estimated birth year, but can't find any other detail to go back further and lost where I thought I may have found her name and now can't find anything at all and was wondering if anyone could help?
Thanks.

Could this be George & his wife in 1891? If so his wife's maiden name is Bostock.

Sorry if I've muddled up I was just typing away but my Elizabeth Davies was born around 1890.
Thanks Trudy, but my Elizabeth was born around 1890 so she couldn't have been 30 on the 1891 census transcription sorry for being confusing.
Anyway I have this estimated date of birth because in 1913 she was 23 years old at the time of her marriage so her wedding certificate says so it makes around the 1890 date for her birth.
Her father George Davies I'm purely guessing as born around 1865 as I've got no age to go on yet or if there were bro's or sisters or a name of her mother.
On his daughters marriage certificate it says that George Davies, father of the bride was a Labourer.
The witnesses on the wedding certificate are George Taplin (father of the groom) and what looks like a Mary Downey.
And yes Liz that is the one I found at the library 2 days ago but wasn't sure if it was the match I was after as I didn't know if there were other children other than Elizabeth as it's all shooting in the dark from here for this line of my tree.
Thanks.

Hi Sarah
I thought that would be her mother & father in 1891 - before she was born - living with her mother's family.

Oh sorry I saw it completely wrong I didn't click in that it could have been her mother and other relatives just shows I haven't got the knack of this searching history yet lol. Every time I look at the census's I still get tongue tied.
Thanks for all the info.

Hi Sarah
It doesn't get any easier!!!!
If it is her family it also gives you her grandmother's maiden name - Viggars -her grandmother's brother is also living in the household.
