	I am searching for a John Davies, born, I think, in 1912, although I do not know where. He married Mary Smailes in 1941, in Sunderland, while he was serving with the North Staffs Regiment. At the time of the marriage his father Albert was deceased, and one witness was James Davies, possibly a brother. A son was born in 1943, but they separated shortly afterwards and John remarried? and had another family. He died between 1979 and 1985, possibly in the Stoke on Trent area.
