I'm trying to find my g granfather HARRY DAVIES. According to his marriage certificate in Sept 1916 he was 40 (born c1876?) years of age and his father was called Alfred Davies, a Baker and Confectioner. Harry's occupation also stated he was a Baker and Confectioner but was also in the Army Service Corps at the time. However, his death certificate in 1950 showed his age as 67 (born c1883?). His daughter, my grandmother, knew little of his past except that she thought he was from Manchester and that he may have been disowned by his family - possibly for "getting a girl in trouble". If you think you have a connection to Harry (if that is his real name!!) please get in touch. Julie |
