Find Ancestors

I am trying to find any details on Edwin George Daniels. As far as I am aware he was born on 26th December 1898 in Dorking (but may have been 1897). He died in 1966 aged 68. I cannot find any records of him on the 1901 census when he would have been 4 years old, and would really like to know who his parents are. Also who he married. He does have living grandchildren. He served in WW1 and apparently received a medal of honour. I think I have found him on the 1911 census working on a ship in the Navy? anyone any adeas as to what happened to him?

There only seems to be one Edwin Daniels born around that time in Surrey so looks like him to me

Think Edwin Daniels married a Phyllis Barton in 1923 in Reigate, Surrey, but not ssure if this is the right wife?

This is the death you say is Edwin is there a reason he died in poplar? do you know that he lived there?

All I know is that he died in Poplar in 1966 aged 68. Don't know if there is a hospital there where he could have died. Don't know either how Phyllis moved to Sussex and died there, but its possible.

I know its possible, just wondered if you knew why he died in poplar having lived in surrey and wife dying in sussex.

He does not seem to be found with parents if any are him I am now thinking Gywn in kent's 1901 with grandparents is more likely but that does'nt help finding his parents,

its a bit difficult to read the exact spelling of his grandmother. and it does say she was born in Ireland - so thats no help as to who his parents/grandparents were?
